How to Update Your Controller

Your controller may periodically receive updates from NVIDIA. When a controller update is available, a notification shows in the Notification shade on your SHIELD device. You can select the notification to install the update.

How to Update Your Controller

If an update is available, a notification icon shows in the system bar on your SHIELD device.

1. Connect your controller to a SHIELD device.
2. Open the Notifications shade.
3. Select Update Controller. Do not move or turn off your controller during the update process.

NOTE SHIELD controller can only be updated when connected wirelessly to a SHIELD device.  The update will be unsuccessful if the controller is wired to a SHIELD device.
