SD Cards are small memory cards that you can read, write, and delete data on. They are available in three sizes: standard SD, mini SD, and micro SD (or microSD). SHIELD has a slot on the back of the device for a microSD card. The card can be loaded with music, pictures, and videos as well as game and app files to free-up space on the SHIELD's internal storage drive.
Make sure to use a microSD card with a Class 10 speed rating or higher. Slower SD cards will result in lower performance in apps and games.
To access the microSD card on your SHIELD, go to Settings > Device > Storage & reset and scroll down to SD CARD.
