Using the Android Keyboard

When you launch an app that requires input, a virtual keyboard displays across the bottom of the screen.  The keyboard that is displayed is a basic layout with additional functionality.  For example; to type a capital letter, tap the uppercase key .  To enable Caps Lock, double tap the key.  To disable Caps Lock, tap the key again.

Notice that some keys have numbers in the upper right corner of the key.  To type these numbers, press and hold the key.  When you let go, the number is typed.  To toggle between alphabetic characters and numbers, select the or keys.
